This is a book about a place before all place--and that is in everywhere we might go. Why have we gotten all gussied up in the first place? For what did we make these additions on top of love, and why had our sincere humanity and who we are not been enough of a literature? Your story had always been the more important narrative in what I might have been reading. There never had been a need to put on so much hoop-la and make such to-do about it. Always, the point of us had been in the dots of the ellipsis...giving place to place, time to time...the place we had all been turning around, while yielding witness to what was there. Alas, we had already been there!
